I grow and paint all types of gourds...every shape and size...and just about any design that you can think of. I started with leaves, flowers, mushrooms and butterflies. I then graduated to people's homes and animals. Someone asked if I could paint their family pictures on a gourd and I said, " Yes"...all the while thinking...can I really do this. The results are some of my favorite pieces...I call them my Family Story Gourds...they are very personal and make a very special gift for friends and family.
